Sanitasi makanan merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan, karena bila keadaan sanitasi makanan tidak memenuhi syarat kesehatan dapat menimbulkan bahaya bagi kehidupan manusia. Makanan dan minuman merupakan kebutuhan pokok manusia, untuk itu harus di perhatikan keadaannya agar pengolahannya sesuai syarat kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sanitasi makanan dan minuman di Rumah Sakit Umum Mitra Sejati Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan formulir penelitian dan pemberian kuesioner kepada penanggung jawab dapur dan penjamah makanan. jenis penelitian ini yang dilakukan dengan cara survey dan bersifat deskriptif. Objektif penelitian yaitu sanitasi makanan dan minuman di RS. Ramahadi. Dari hasil penelitian yang di lakukan 87.5% bahwa persyaratan sanitasi makanan dan minuman di RS. Ramahadi susah memenuhi syarat kesehatan menurut Permenkes 1204/MENKES/SK/X/2004. Disarankan kepada pihak RS. Ramahadi agar melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara berkala enam bulan sekali di instalasi gizi.
