Analisis Makna Warna pada Film Pendek Animasi If Anything Happens I Love You melalui Semiotika Peirce

Perkembangan media massa dalam era modern tidak hanya mengubah pola komunikasi manusia, tetapi juga membentuk pola pikir dan budaya masyarakat. Film sebagai media audio-visual memiliki daya pengaruh kuat karena mampu menyampaikan narasi, emosi, dan pesan sosial melalui kombinasi unsur visual, audio, serta simbolisme nonverbal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna warna dalam film pendek animasi If Anything Happens I Love You menggunakan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Film ini dipilih karena menyampaikan narasi dan emosi tanpa dialog verbal sehingga warna menjadi elemen visual utama dalam membangun makna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif interpretatif dengan analisis semiotika Peirce melalui hubungan triadik representamen, objek dan interpretan, serta klasifikasi tanda sebagai ikon, indeks, simbol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam film berfungsi sebagai sistem tanda yang membangun makna emosional dan sosial. Warna abu – abu dan hitam berperan sebagai indeks duka dan konflik batin orang tua pascatragedi, sedangkan warna biru memicu memori dan nostalgia terhadap kehadiran anak. Warna hijau, jingga, dan ungu merepresentasikan ruang kenangan dan transisi emosional, sementara warna merah dan kombinasi merah – biru menandai dimensi bahaya serta kritik sosial terhadap kekerasan bersenjata. Warna kuning pada akhir film dimaknai sebagai tanda penerimaan dan ketenangan batin.
