Melalui media, kita bisa mengetahui tentang realitas sosial yang sering sedang terjadi di luar dari jangkauan kita,film menjadi representasi mengenai realitas sosial melalui apa yang di saksikan oleh penonton,film mengandung semiotika sebagai seni yang diartikan dalam bentuk atau tanda-tanda yang ada didalamnya, komunikasi dalam film menjadi penghubung dari setiap jalannya cerita yang telah dirangkai dengan baik,komunikasi dalam film identik dengan Semiotika, dengan menggunakan konsep Roland Barthes yang meliputi Signifier,signified,sign konotatif(Mitos),konsep patriarki menggambarkan bahwa sebuah film berlatar belakang kebudayaan.
