Menurunkan Breakdown Unschedule Engine Low Power Fuel System Unit Big Loader

Penggunaan bahan bakar B35 sebagai bagian dari kebijakan energi terbarukan di Indonesia memberikan tantangan baru terhadap keandalan sistem bahan bakar mesin diesel pada alat berat, khususnya big loader di sektor pertambangan. Pada triwulan akhir tahun 2023, operasional big loader di PT Putra Perkasa Abadi Site Bukit Asam mengalami peningkatan signifikan breakdown tidak terjadwal akibat engine low power, dengan total 126 kejadian dan durasi downtime mencapai 264,7 jam. Kondisi ini berdampak langsung terhadap penurunan produktivitas, rendahnya nilai Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), serta meningkatnya biaya operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi akar penyebab permasalahan engine low power pada sistem bahan bakar B35 dan mengevaluasi efektivitas solusi teknis yang diterapkan untuk menurunkan frekuensi breakdown. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus deskriptif-analitis dengan analisis data historis, pengukuran fuel cleanliness berdasarkan standar ISO 4406, analisis sebab-akibat, serta implementasi perbaikan berbasis Quality Control Circle (QCC). Solusi yang diterapkan meliputi penambahan filtrasi bahan bakar, flushing sistem bahan bakar secara berkala, pengurasan tangki fuel truck, penggunaan fuel additive, serta rebuild injector dengan vendor terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan frekuensi breakdown sebesar 71,4%, penurunan biaya injector per jam hingga 93%, serta potensi penghematan pendapatan mencapai Rp6,3 miliar per tahun. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pengelolaan sistem bahan bakar yang terintegrasi dan berbasis data merupakan kunci dalam meningkatkan keandalan alat berat yang menggunakan bahan bakar biodiesel.
